At The Exploratory, we believe in possibilities – in sharing with children, that learning is fun and that perseverance is rewarding. One of the most valuable vehicles that we use are our Tinker.Make.Innovate Events. At Farmer’s Markets, parks, schools, festivals, corporations and block parties, we bring together makers and tinkerers to share their passion with families and educators.
Inspired by the Maker Faire, we provide a venue for makers of all ages to come together to share information, teach each other and be inspired to reach for the sky. We provide opportunities for children to share their creations to not only make their learning visible, but to develop creative confidence as they inspire other children.
We are looking for partners from all areas – cities, parks, families, corporations, schools, and any community organizations that are able to host Tinker.Make.Innovate events.

December 11, 2012Hello Jean.
I put on a little Make event at the Zimmer Children’s Museum last Sunday. Please see photos: http://on.fb.me/U3B4mi
My wind tunnel was only half-height and kids had three types of materials to use; they still loved the event, but if you would bring a Make event to the Museum it would be so much cooler!
The Museum invited me back for the morning of their fundraising day 1/27. Would you please consider joining me and setting up a table or two? I do this for publicity for my tool-lending project; you could do this for publicity for The Exploratory, perhaps. It would be so much cooler for the audience (ages 3 to 8) if you would bring your stuff and staff too. I’ve also contacted the LAMakerspace about this, because they are also good at this kind of craft-y science-y thing.
