VEX IQ is a robotics platform designed to transform STEM learning for young students and their teachers. Students as young as 8 can jump right in and snap robots together using this intuitive, toolless platform and learn valuable lessons and skills that are needed in today's changing world. The VEX IQ Challenge, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, gives students affordable access to the inspiration, excitement and learning that comes from participating in a STEM challenge.

The Exploratory has chosen the Vex Robotics IQ platform because of its use of Arduino programming language. The Exploratory team will consist of 6 players ages 8-12 who will practice and play over the summer and then when the competition season starts in the fall, will get serious!! - But still have a ton of fun! 

Summer Prep: 6 Sat starting on july 19th 3:00pm to 5:00pm. 

Fee: 6 workshops -Free + Materials fee of $150 ( one time ) - Must be approved to attend. Email first prior to coming to first workshop. If chosen for the team, a commitment to the team for the school year 2014-2015 is required. 

In the Fall, there will be additional registration fees for the competitions. 

Meets at The Exploratory in Culver City.
